The Brussels CSC provides a forum for supporters of Glasgow Celtic FC living or based in Belgium to meet on a regular basis, watch Celtic matches on TV together and participate in trips to see "the Bhoys" live at Celtic Park in Glasgow and across Europe.
The CSC is based in THE WILD ROVER SPORTS BAR & IRISH PUB, the next door sister pub of The Wild Geese , located at Avenue Livingstone 2-4 in Brussels (click here for more details), where members meet to watch Celtic games broadcast live. An enthusiastic Celtic atmosphere is guaranteed there whenever "the Bhoys" are in action on the big screen.
Membership numbers currently stand at around 70. This includes a strong Belgian representation, including many who travel from outside the Brussels area. There is also a strong Scottish and Irish representation of course. Reflecting the breadth of the Celtic "family" worldwide, it also now includes members originating from as far afield as New Zealand and the United States, as well as from France, the Netherlands and Italy.
New members of the Brussels CSC are always welcome. Membership offers the camaraderie that comes with being an active Celtic supporter. In addition, all members are invited to participate in events organised with Celtic VIPs. Not least, members receive regular e-mail updates about forthcoming televised matches and other activities organised by the CSC.
In recent years, Brussels-based supporters have taken special pride in Belgian international, Joos Valgaeren, who played in the ‘Hoops’ for a number of seasons.
In addition to watching football, the CSC has its own team which plays matches against other Belgian supporters' teams as well as visiting Celtic fans. Recent seasons have seen Celtic reclaim its place among the leading clubs in Europe. With new signings this season settling well into the team, the Brussels CSC is looking forward to another rewarding season supporting "the Bhoys".
